Paula Clayton

We are very sorry to say that Paula lost her battle with Anaplastic Thyroid Carcinoma (ATC) and sadly passed away on Sunday 17/10/21

Paula is and always will be an inspiration to so many. From early on in her professional career as a physiotherapist/soft tissue therapist working at many Olympic Games and sports including Wrestling, Boxing, Hockey, Rugby, Women's football, Equestrian, Squash, Badminton, Swimming. She was a mentor for so many, an author, conference speaker and just an outright incredible human being.

Paula was not only an incredible physiotherapist treating a number of elite athletes but also an incredible mother, wife, friend and mentor.

Paula Clayon Trust Fund

As was Paula’s wishes we have set up the Paula Clayton Trust Fund to keep Paula's legacy going, raising money and awareness for people with ATC and also Poorly Differentiated Thyroid Carcinoma (PDTC), currently both conditions remain without a cure.

Paula made it extremely clear that she wanted to help people who are going through what she had been through. She wouldn't want anyone to have to suffer like she had, and this is just what Paula was like! Always wanting to help and always putting others before herself. She was the most beautiful person inside and out. We need more people like Paula not less...

Online-Physiotherapy Assessment, self treatment and

Rehabilitation

At the touch of a button!!

Online physiotherapy offers a great alternative to get support from an experienced physiotherapist without the need for travelling. Perfect for the busy corporate professional, the person who finds it tough to fit appointments into their day, or for the athlete who lives too far from the physiotherapist of choice.

In this current climate getting support while maintaining social distancing and social isolation is now at your fingertips!

Paula will send you your consultation forms via email. Please complete these and return signed via WhatsApp or Signal (both are triple encrypted). Paula will then discuss your issue with you via a video link. Paula will be able to assess your movement and gain important information by asking you to perform certain movements and tasks.

Paula will talk you through and demonstrate any self treatment techniques and will follow this up with a bespoke rehabilitation program to suit you, your body, your goals and your lifestyle. Your consultation video will be recorded (unless you specifically request for this not to happen), your video will be emailed to you so there is no need to take any notes, making the most of your valuable time. Once the video is forwarded to you, it will be deleted from our records permanently.

All exercises prescribed will be sent to you via email and consist of detailed videos for you to follow.

We will then arrange a follow up treatment session to review your exercise program and progress you to the next level. You are likely to have questions following your initial consultation, so please feel free to email Paula at any time to discuss any concerns, these can also be discussed in your follow up session.

Further information about how to prepare for an online consultation can be found under Services
